What’s something you do?

Question

Let’s say you have a car, you’re alone and you’re bored, you also have your own place.
What do you do when you have the urge to get out or do something productive or fun for yourself? I need ideas.

I used to take myself out to eat, go to the nail salon, go shopping, or hang out with my sister or a friend. I’ve always been more of homebody though. You can also get a gym membership, go swimming, a skating rink on adult nights, or even find adult sports leagues to join if you’re into that.

Anything in nature for me. If I have some time to myself, I drive to the nearest park or beach.

Now that my kiddos are older I have a TON of time for myself, and I made it my priority to get in the best shape of my life. I spend a lot of time working out, meal prepping, eating well. I started and aerial fabrics class. I go to the spa. I know it's different becauseI do have a family, but my youngest son and I explore little towns and excursions, or restaurants in our town. I get taken out on a lot of dates by my hun, but you can do all of that by yourself. Enjoying alone time is such a luxury, I love spending time on my own.

Try looking on Facebook for events locally to you! You might find something interesting there. I’m a homebody so I don’t like leaving the house much, but sometimes I just go to the lake nearby or go shopping at places that my husband dreads going in with me like Target and TJMaxx 🤣

Walk, gym, do a hike, go to a book store, find a new cafe I'd never tried, go to dinner, concert, museum, bar, art gallery, do a craft, go to the animal shelter and play with the animals or if yours allows days out take a dog out for a day, find a new food cart tobtry, go have a cocktail, find a ethnic grocery store and find new things to try I never had, see a movie, find a talk or presentation, clean, see a sporting event, find a festival/farmers market to go to, read a book, go to the archery center, find local history to learn about, go fishing, go for a bike ride, find a new recipe and make it...those were all things I did at that stage of life in that situation.

Before kids, I would go to the gym. With kids, I go to local parks.

When I was at that stage in life, I enjoyed going to movie theaters alone, restaurants I enjoyed and going for walks with my dogs. I also developed hobbies I enjoyed doing at home that felt productive but was still relaxing like painting and knitting 😊
