Husband made a decision alone

I'm so angry at my husband. We have to find a new place to live because our former landlord was raising the rent and we weren't going to be able to afford it. I started looking at other places and the one I wanted unfortunately fell through. My husband got angry and decided to go to an apartment complex by himself, gave the lady who manages it $400 that's not refundable if we get approved without consulting me first. I went to see the apartment today and I hate it. It's run down. Everything is so old. It's small. I know it's what we can afford but I'm angry he made this decision alone. I fear I'm going to resent him now because I'm going to hate where we're living.
