Tw * miscarriage

Hi. So Tuesday of last week i found out i was pregnant, but by friday evening i had started light bleeding followed by very heavy bleeding. I went into my GP yesterday to confirm miscarriage and she sent me to the maternity hospital due to the level of bleeding. Id have only been around 3 weeks on the friday that i started bleeding. At the maternity hospital the doctor who saw me barely said a word about the miscarriage, told me it was probably a chemical pregnancy as the test they did was showing negative to pregnancy and to get the mirena coil as the other contraceptives i had been using 'obviously' aren't compatable with my body and to go home. No help, reassurance or support as to what to expect with a miscarriage. I did one of my early detection test yesterday that was still posotive and another today and the test line actually seems darker. I guess im just wondering if that is normal and what to expect symptom wise
