Could be pregnant and what test better

Im almost 3 weeks late if i take tast will it definitely tell me if i am or not? i took test almost 2 weeks late it was negative but my sister and doc told me that it could have been to early and my sis asked what text i used i assume all the test are the same but shes telling me its better to use digital test then the one with the lines she claims that the digital will 100% tell if i am or not unlike the one with the lines but all the test i seen say they at 99% accurate and note saying hormones leaves varys but i never heard that digital ones are better Test came back negative again
