On the fence about MMR

My son’s 1 year appointment is Friday. My best friend’s daughter had encephalitis and seizures after her MMR vaccine and ended up in the hospital. They almost lost her. Her, her mom, my mom, and my aunt are telling me not to get it. With the outbreaks it is scary. But I do have to say he doesn’t go to daycare, and I’m a sahm. I do grocery delivery so he doesn’t go to stores.

I don’t know what to do. After seeing her daughter and the reaction she had I am so scared.
