Does anyone else have a fear of childbirth?

I want a baby but I have a huge fear of childbirth and the pain during as well as the recovery process. Is anyone else postponing getting pregnant due to the fear?

I think everyone worries to a certain extent. But to be honest, the pain is well worth it and once that baby is born, you forget about it. I’ve had 5 babies. Pregnant with #6. And yes, I’m nervous even though this is #6 but I know it’s all worth it.

It helped me to think about the trillions of women who have done it across the ages. And then did it again, sometimes on purpose. No way to know what it’s like till you do it, but what’s sure is there is a purpose to the pain, and it’s worth it. I had 3 with no meds and 2 with epidurals and I’d do it again if I was younger!! It’s not easy, of course. None of it is. But it is worth it!

Currently on my first pregnancy. 4 months in. Every week at least once a week I think about how the hellllllllll I’m going to manage giving birth. I look at my head I look at my husband’s head and can only imagine our baby girl head size. I see random objects that closely resemble a full term baby weight and approximate width and I think how every single time but this baby going to come one way or another if I’m ready or not but like others have said I know it will be worth it and the pain is brief for a life time of happiness.

My fear was next level before having my first.. it was like a genuine fear/phobia of the pain I might endure.. I ended up laboring for 18 hours and had a c-section. The pain was pretty wicked, but nothing our bodies aren’t made to handle!I it’s not a pain that will kill you if that helps at all. (Epidural was also a godsend) After your baby arrives you totally forget about all of the pain. I’m now pregnant again and know what’s coming with childbirth… but also know it’s very brief in the grand scheme of things! You can also totally practice pain management before birth!

Who doesn’t have a fear of child birth ?! That was definitely a reason why I never wanted kids. Here we are pregnant with baby 3!

Yes absolutely terrified and have now lost 2 babies which has just made that fear even worse.

I told myself I wouldn’t have any baby’s but here is an # 2 going to go through another c section . Honestly if you truly are wanting a baby I think yes you’ll be scared to a degree but your never truly scared because it’s all worth everything at the end of the day
