Prenatal care
Abit frustrated with this whole prenatal care situation. I moved out of state and there are only two places I can go to be seen.. actually one. The first one I am trying to be seen at, told me their head or triage nurse needs to look at my medical records to see if they can approve for me to be seen there. I called the other place and they said they don’t take anyone after 32 weeks and beyond. I happen to be 33 weeks and 6 days.. 🥺 I’m so frustrated. What do I even do? They have a women’s hospital that delivers but they don’t do prenatal care. All the rest of the clinics here just confirm a pregnancy test and provide std tests etc but no prenatal care. I’m crossing my fingers that the only one that can potentially take me, can take me. If they can’t, I’m at a loss on what to do. I’ve had my ultrasound dating scan, full CBC, QUAD test, anatomy scan and non fasting glucose. My baby has no fetal abnormalities. I’m having a normal low risk pregnancy. I have anemia but I take iron for it. Should I just skip getting the rest of prenatal care and go to the women’s hospital when I’m having close enough contractions? Is that dangerous to do? I had an induction with my first born and someone told me I needed to get record of why I was induced in case I need to be induced again this time. The record would help I guess? I don’t remember why I was induced. Another person said there’s no reason to retrieve those records since an induction is always listed as “elective” regardless..
