did your partner help with newborn?

I just had my beautiful baby boy via cesarean section two weeks ago. I have a daughter from a previous relationship but don't remember ever being this tired... maybe because I had help, idk.

My boyfriend is a new dad, we've had a few disagreements because I'm always the one taking care of baby, waking up at night to feed baby while being a single mom to my daughter- that i have little to 0 help with. He keeps saying he needs time to get used to being a dad. Another reason is because he's tired from work but literally just went back to work three days ago.... I try to give him time and the benefit of the doubt but i'm tired....

any tips?

Your boyfriend does not need to get used to being a dad. He’s been there for your daughter. He should’ve already been that Dad that she needed and definitely for his own kid. He should definitely be a Dad. You don’t have to get used to being a dad. you just be a dad

With our first my husband & i were both working so while i worked he had her while he worked i had her then midnight when he got home he took her till 3am when he went to bed we always take turns once he gets home he takes over until 3-4am when he goes to bed then i take over this has always worked great for us and were expecting baby 5 any day now

Yeah mine helped. I did more buthe helped. I also think it's weird that you live with him and get zero help with your daughter.
