DOWN SYNDROME BABY

Hello, so i found out am pregnant in February. I went for my first scan in March when i became 12weeks pregnant. A week later my sister found out that she is also pregnant. She is exactly 4weeks behind me.

She went for her 12weeks scan amd the sonographer noticed that her baby’s neck had some fluid, so they got the midwife to rule out anything serious.

The midwife suspected that she could be having a down syndrome baby, so they asked for blood test to confirm. The blood test came back positive for Down syndrome and the percentage was 99%.

Her NT (Nuchal translucency) was 3.4mm at 12weeks.

She has to go for regular check ups now. She is now 14weeks pregnant and today she had another appointment with the consultant and they done another scan. Her NT is now 4.7mm at 14weeks. She also has a blood clot in her placenta. They said she can have a miscarriage..

Anyone went through something similar?? Please share you stories.

I feel so bad and feel like i cannot enjoy my pregnancy because of what she’s going through.
