Postpartum periods
Okay so I have PCOS and endometriosis, because of the PCOS I have insufficient glandular tissue (only found that out after my son wasn’t gaining weight fast enough we found out I wasn’t making enough milk… thank god for the nurses that helped me out with this because I was driving myself crazy trying to figure out why he wasn’t gaining weight fast enough… i tried teas, cookies, stout, pumping more, pumping less, nursing all the time basically just ended up topping baby off and he would be hungry and pissed off and demanding milk every hour so we started giving him a 2 oz bottle after every feed, that turned into 4oz and now 6oz. Baby is gaining weight and is healthy and happy so that is what matters to me.. I loved breastfeeding but it has pretty much dried up so baby is formula fed now…
had my son on March 7
bled until March 31
my period returned on April 29
My milk fully dried up about 2 days ago and I know that makes you go through another “hormone reset” but can that effect your period? I am 7 days late now…. Wondering if I should take a pregnancy test… or if this is just hormones from stopping breastfeeding? We haven’t had any “accidents” or anything we have been careful I’m just super paranoid… and don’t really know what my body is trying to do right now…. I’m very moody, nauseous, not really any cramping other then in one spot and I usually get very bad cramps
Are your first few periods after giving birth irregular? Is it normal or should I be worried?
