Switching insurance and providers?

Breeze

Does anyone have experience switching insurance and OBGYNs mid pregnancy?

I am running into a really hard situation right now. I have Kaiser insurance but it expires July 31st. They won’t let me see an outside facility at all & told me my only option was another plan with them where I paid $500/m + 20% of all my maternity (imaging is not apart of care it’s a separate clause that I have to pay completely out of pocket for) this also doesn’t include specialty care with an MFM. I’m currently 13w and got approved for pregnancy Medicaid but Kaiser will not allow me to use it as they’re my primary insurance provider and blocking all care outside the facility. I tried to drop Kaiser early but I don’t have a qualifying live event, apparently pregnancy doesn’t change your life enough to change insurance policies. With that being said I have severe HG, myocarditis, and a history of IUGR & a 4hr labor with my first making me a very complex case. Already baby is measuring small and I’m supposed to get scans with an MFM at 15w, 20w, 22w, 24w, 28w and so on… my biggest problem is all of the places I could switch to won’t take such a complex case outside of the first trimester due to a lawsuit for medical negligence because they weren’t with me my whole pregnancy. Does anyone know a way around this? Or a website I can look up and see who would possibly take me? I won’t be able to switch providers until 19w and I’m just really really freaked out. Please help me.
