Emotional Support Animals are NOT service animals

Before anyone posts a comment disagreeing with me, go to ADA website and post a screenshot where it says that ESAs are service animals and have the same rights as them because otherwise I will not listen to your comment because you would just be talking out of your ass.

I work at a hotel and the amount of time I've spent arguing with people over this is ridiculous. This lady didn't want to pay the pet fee. She said it's an ESA and I told her ESAs are not protected under ADA. She says they are and according to the fair housing act I cannot charge her a pet fee. This is a hotel you dumb idiot. Before anyone gets mad that I called this woman a dumb idiot on this post, when I was being polite she was calling me bitch, cunt, and to take my ass back to China(I'm Korean you dumb idiot). I even pulled up the law for her on my phone. Hotels are allowed to deny or charge fees for ESAs because they are NOT service dogs and protected under ADA. Honestly people like this are making it harder for people with legit service animals. If your ESA helps you in your home and stuff that's valid, but constantly fighting with people acting like you poorly trained dog is, or your fucking snake is a service animal is making everyone's life harder. I can at least say that most people I have this argument with are not sprinkling on some racism there too.

Downvote all you want. Your ESA is not a legally protected service animal. And hotels and restaurants and stores do NOT have to allow you to bring them or have to waive a fee. I don't make the rules. I follow them. And with the amount of damage I've seen these "ESA's" do to some of our hotel rooms a lot of these dogs are not trained properly.
