Baby Shower or Baby Sprinkle?

We are pregnant with our second baby. This baby is a different gender than the first. Our first baby is now 3.5 years old. We have a few things leftover from him like crib, dresser and an infant car seat but other than that we will need all the other typical baby things. Is it okay to have a baby shower? I know people usually call it a baby sprinkle but wondering if a sprinkle is mostly for diapers and small items?

I was wondering the same thing, although I don't know if this one is a boy or girl yet. We still have most of the stuff from my son so I figured we might have a sprinkle for a girl and not do one if it's another boy. We also have family that are happy (eager) to buy baby things so I don't think we need to have anything big. But there are so many people that say it's "tacky" to have a second shower.  So I have been wondering what we will want to do as well.

the baby sprinkles that I have been to have honestly been the same thing as a shower! I wouldn’t worry about it. plenty of people have more than 1
