Has anyone ended up pregnant after testing negative

Currently 4 days late on my period. I always have regular periods maybe off by 1/2 days or early by a day every once in a while. I took a test at 2 days missed period and then again at 3 days of my missed period and both negative not even a faint line? I did not test for ovulation as it has driven me crazy testing and trying that I decided to let it go and if it happens it happens. We do not use protection of any kind and have not been on birth control for years. Has anyone else had this issue and then ended up being pregnant?
