Cervix low and soft but closed....

Went to my obgyni and My cervix is low and soft ?It wasnt my usual obg so this one seemed rushed....But she did say it is low and soft but not open?My daughter is very low ?Does it mean anything?Im having mild pains but on and off ...not regular at all....?Sooo much discharge as well... 36weeks so not far off from being full term so she said she isnt worried.My regular obg also told me she hopes I " carry her for that long" As im a small person and Mia is measuring at a perfect size?Can I expect labour soon?Any well else with a cervix low and soft but closed?
