Baby shower drama...help!

Ok so I'm 31 weeks now...n haven't had baby shower...plan was for Feb 13...then my in law said she can't take days off n so can't my husband...since it has to be at her house...I'm waiting on her to give me a date...now my husband just told me he doesn't wanna be part of it...that just made me upset...am I being irrational or is it normal for men not wanting to be in it? Not only that...but his mother hasn't given me a date either! Ughhh help please
