Should I be proud?!

Question

My Lo is about to turn 5 months old. He used to sleep in bed with me, now he refuses to even fall asleep next to me. 
I have s pack n play next to my bed that he now sleeps in peacefully. I lay him in it awake, he fusses a little (he's been fed, burped, and changed). They're just tired whines. Then after a few minutes.. He falls asleep!! 
Does this mean he finally likes to sleep alone? I do swaddle him with a blanket (arms out). Just so he doesn't startle himself awake.

I wouldn't complain one bit. I had my son sleeping in his crib at 8 weeks old. He didn't want to be in the bassinet anymore and didn't want to be swaddled either. It actually helped him sleep 6-8 hours which was nice for this tired, breastfeeding momma. He was already 12lbs at this point! Haha.

Even at that age, their personality is developing. Just like as adults some of us want space sleeping and some of us like to be touching a warm body.  
It's not so much about accomplishment as it is baby's preference.

He could be 😊 my son only slept with me when he was ill or very ill and then once he is better he likes to go back into his room and bed ☺ he is almost 2. The only problems I had with him at bedtime was when he hated his cot and ince he went into a toddler bed at 14 months he was fine again and also if he has a cold he can wake up a few times a night or was teething before getting all his teeth

I'm almost 34 weeks pregnant and I wish my toddler would have done that.....he's going to be 18 months when his little sister is born and he refuses to sleep anywhere but with me and his daddy it's so nerve wracking because I don't get much sleep with him in between my husband and I so be proud that your baby can now sleep on his own in his own bed
