Okay so I'm 34 weeks and 6 days pregnant since I found out I was pregnant I've kept how I want to deliver my baby the same throughout. I want all natural no fluids or medicine nor epidural I want the most natural birth you can have in a hospital. And it really aggravates me that everyone I tell that to laughs in my face then proceed to tell me how much contractions hurt etc. I wish they would realize I don't care this is my baby and my body and I feel like I can handle a complete Natural birth. I mostly think people laugh because I am only 18 and this is my first baby but so what my mother did natural 4 times maybe not as natural as what I'm doing but she did no pain meds and for me I think I should let my body do what it was made to do. Our bodies were designed for this kind of endurance and dammit I'm going to let my body do everything naturally!

People give advice based on their beliefs of themselves. If they had an epidural etc and believed childbirth was natural and doable without, they would then have to believe they are a weenie with no pain tolerance (not being serious here, I'm making light to make a point). People just don't do that. "We" compare our choices to others through the light of what makes us feel good about our own past decisions. Not true of everyone (thank God), but many people function this way.

How great is it that you are not scared of giving birth naturally! I praise you for that specially because now a days many people are so scared of what the pain could be like. Having said that, all the documentaries and books on natural birth will tell you that preparation is key. Giving birth naturally is like running a marathon, and mental and physical preparation is extremely important to help you push through the pain the way you expect to in your birthing experience. There are TONS of books on natural birth that can help you, and many emphasize the use of imagery and meditation to overcome the pain. You can do it if that's your plan! But remember that preparation is key! 🌻

You should stick to your plan if that's what you want a screw everyone else!!! That was my plan with my first, BUT I ended up getting an emergency c section talk about no medication to highly medicated lol, however it was worth it!

I had the same issue with my first! Everyone gave me crap for wanting to go all natural, my mom had 4 kids with no drugs too! Stay strong to your beliefs but also keep an open mind. I ended up having an epidural due to medical issues and necessity. Had to do the same with my son and now will have to have a c-section with the twins. Atleast with my son they let me go most of the day without it(was induced). Just don't get upset if something comes up medically and you end up needing something you didn't expect. And don't let anyone tell you "they told you, you couldn't do"! My baby's tend to have broad shoulders and get stuck in my pelvis, combined with contractions that pulls my pelvis tighter together. You just never know!
