Is there a difference between acceptable and unacceptable pornography?

I just read a topic where a girl found disturbing porn searches from her boyfriends history, such as searches for women being abused. Some women on that topic were dismissing it saying that it was just fantasy and just porn.
We know that child pornography is illegal and wrong, but where do we draw the line between "good" and "bad" porn? For example do you think porn that features adults pretending to be teens/underage, or porn that features "fake rape" or incest acceptable and normal? Please explain.

People have fantasies. People enjoy different sexual things. Some women love the rape fantasy. Some women love rough, abusive sex. My SO was with a woman once who wanted to be slapped hard in the face during sex. He said it was weird, but he didn't hold back and she ended up blacking out from getting hit so hard. She absolutely loved it and said it was the best sex she's ever had. With that being said, some of these porn stars do actually enjoy the type of sex they're getting. So who are we to say it's wrong? There's no such thing as "normal" sex because "normal" is whatever the individual likes. I don't see a problem with "disturbing" porn as long as everything is actually conscentual, as safe as it can be, and legal.

I saw one once - without going into detail, it was an accident - that had a woman servicing three pterodactyls. I didn't get it at all. I'm profoundly confused that there's an audience for that, but I'm glad it's there for that very specific niche.

I think it is all unacceptable to be honest.

I find any porn okay. As long as the participants fully consent and respect eachothers and that they are 18+

I don't find any porn that feature consenting adult, human people unacceptable as long as no actual crimes are committed. For instance, rape is illegal. So no actual rape porn. However, pretending to rape someone is not illegal, so acting in a scene like that is acceptable, imo.

I think anything with children and animals is unacceptable. Everything else is ok to me. I recognize that a lot of people have fetishes that they like to fantasize about but would never want to do in real life i.e. really hardcore BDSM stuff involving rape. If the actors are consenting and over 18, then whateva.

I think when the porn is showing things that are illegal (in my country I guess because things are different everywhere) it has gone to far. So things like abuse, murder (don't even know if that happens), rape, porn with animals, and definitely child pornography is something that is absolutely not acceptable.

Anything that sexualises children. Anything that sexualises abuse-especially if it's towards WOC. Anything that seems more like sexual assault and rape than consensual sex.

I think all porn is trash but I think any porn where one is pretending to be a child is definitely unacceptable. It doesn't matter if both of the "actors" are 18+, the fact that they are pretending to have sex with kids is sickening and anyone who finds that "sexy" is sick as well. They might want to consider a mental evaluation.  My friend found her boyfriend looking up that kind of porn on his phone on multiple occasions. Both of the "actors" were adults but the woman was pretending to be a child. She had to end the relationship with him because she has a 4 year old daughter and she could not look at him the same after that.

Acting is ok and allows those watching to "get a fix" and move on. If the actors are anything besides consenting legal adults it's not ok. You're not going to find real rapes/bestiality/kiddy porn/whatever on the common sites like pornhub or redtube anyway because they filter it. There's socially acceptable fetishes and non.

* then some are in between. A coprophile may be seen as acceptable since the individual is harming no one but themselves, but to others even that's indecent. Then you have so many fetishes that can't possibly harm anyone, yet people will bash the person for it because sexuality makes them uncomfortable.

We have to realize that there is quite an amount of porn out there made with the wrong intentions from a predominantly (chauvinistic) male perspective. On top of that, the placement and acceptance of sex and sexuality in many societies still remain taboo. This results in porn being part of the 'dark' side so to speak of the internet. Funnily enough... Sex is a part of everyone's life and instead of embracing sex in society we try and label it as something impure. There is nothing wrong with sex. At its essence it is pure creation.. So I don't believe the question is if the porn you described is ethical because any form of sexual visual representation of a demeaning role made with the wrong intentions is unethical. The subjects are a matter of taste but I think the real issue here is asking ourselves how 'porn' today should be and integrate what we see as something that turns us on, without finishing with a bitter aftertaste of disgust after doing the deed.
