First pregnancy - Las Vegas

Lucy
So we live the other side of town to the base. My husband works at a data-masked location so we rarely use Nellis as a hub. However- for my maternity care I'm trying to decide whether to go to base. I feel like tricare hasn't given me many options.
I'm close to 5 weeks now - so the pregnancy is super early.
Just called the women's health clinic on base to set up my care. They want me to drive to base to do a pregnancy test (despite the fact my primary doctor has confirmed).
Then i have to do an orientation class at 7-9 weeks.
THEN i may get to see an OBGYN at 11-13 weeks and have an ultrasound.
The base is 40 minutes away, without traffic.
Anyone else dealt with this?
