Gynaec visit

I had a miscarriage in October 2014. We have been trying to get pregnant since then but no luck. Should I visit a Gynaec for a consolation? Or because it is more than a year of trying..the Gynaec will send me directly to the infertility specialist. Confused and don't know which way to go...
