When to push to see Fertility Spec

When is it time to ask to see a specialist? DH and I have been trying since January. The GYN said we have to wait until one year to see a specialist. Frankly I am tired of waiting and my cycles are not regular. I am trying to lose weight hoping that will help. If my cycle is late this month but a BFN I think I may push to see a specialist. No use in wasting my time if i am not regular. Thoughts?

We waited a year before doctor would refer us to the Infertility clinic, waited 2month for an appointment to get the basics done by a nurse and all blood counts then 4month to see the actual specialist. It's a long process x

I saw a new gyne after my mc since I wasn't happy with the previous ones I had and he was so awesome. He listened to my concerns and we opted to try medications to help speed up the process. I'm 28 and he felt that seeing a specialist right now isn't necessary.

I just switched after my MC in April. Can they perscribe me clomid or do I need to see a specialist? They were good on rushing bloodwork and getting me figured out last month so I don't want to give up on them

It's a year of your under 35 and 6 months if over 35 according to my fertility doctor

I'm in the same boat as you, trying since January with no luck. I just want to get it checked out but they all say a year still. Doesn't help I'm in the military so they are pretty firm with their "rules/wait periods".

Go to a diff gyn. They cam help you for a while til you need a specialist. Help you regulate cycles so you can try for a while.
