Should I be scared?

Tbh having sex for the first time scared the shit out of me. I'm afraid of the pain and the embarrassment and the bleeding. Is that weird? Any advice to help me not be scared?

My first time was great. My SO and I had been together for a long time and decided over a period of months that we were finally ready so we planned a little weekend getaway to a nearby town, had sex in the hotel, went out to dinner after, and just had fun exploring the city we were in. It was great because he's my best friend and an all around great guy. There was no pressure and we were really good at checking in with each other. It wasn't awkward at all because we've been together and are super comfortable with each other's body. It didn't hurt because I'm pretty used to him fingering me and was really relaxed. Afterwards there was a little bit of discomfort because his penis stretched my vagina more than his finger would for example but nothing horrible :)

Everyone's experience is so different. No bleeding here, but a lot of pain. It didn't feel like sex because it was literally just slightly "edging in" to stretch a bit. It took a while for us to get to a point that we could have "real sex" rather than just partial insertion and removal. 
​The most important thing is to have a partner who sees you, your needs, and is selfless in making your first time as comfortable and "no pressure" as possible.
