Exchanges/returns practically everything from the baby shower? Lol I feel so bad but a lot of people just bought random things none were on the registry so I felt like I'd rather just go and get what we actually wanted. I will admit I'm super picky but I hope I don't hurt people's feelings by not keeping what they got us 😔

I'm already anticipating returning a whole bunch too. It's ok! You want certain things for baby, and people really should respect a registry, in my opinion.

We only registered for what we really needed and wanted and I'm having two baby showers in in 2 weeks and the other the weekend after. So far only six things have been purchased lol I'm just wondering what people are getting!! We bought the big stuff ourselves and really need things like bottles (not clothes) so....we'll see if I need to return!!

I anticipate having to return clothes because people never listen about clothes.  They always want to pick out clothes.  We don't need clothes, we've been given a ton of hand me downs.  So yeah.  But really, unless they are going to be around baby all the time how will they even know?!?!

Hah I do this all the time and I'm also super picky about things we use too. I'm also the type of person who'd give the receipt when I gift give because I want to give gifts that people like and would use. Don't feel bad.

I already know I will have to return a bunch of stuff. I'm going to try to let most people know we don't need any small size clothes but I'm sure people will buy small sizes anyway. My husband is also super picky about clothes, blankets , ect so I'm sure he won't like some of the stuff expecially if it has Winnie the pooh or hello kitty on it. I registered at a few places but I'm sure like last time nothing will be bought off of them. My husband is mexican, he says Mexicans don't use registries, they will just get you whatever they want to lol

I'm anticipating having to return a lot. We registered at babies r us and so far nothing has been purchased off the registry. The shower is in 2 and a half weeks. Plus there is no babies r us in the town where I am having the shower ( where most people who are invited live). So hopefully people include gift receipts. We still have quite a few things to get and I'm hoping people actually shop off the registry!!

I haven't had my shower yet but I don't see anything wrong with returning some items. My mom got me a girls onesie for Christmas even though she knew a month before hand that I'm having a boy. If I had a reciept with it it would've been returned.

I couldn't make it to a shower for my cousin so after she had them I called her and asked her to give the top things she needed/wanted and didn't get and bought one of those.  I was surprised to see a lot of important stuff wasn't bought for her!  My family then went in and pitched I for the highs chair she wanted.  I know it's more fun going the "cute and fun" route, but sometimes the things needed are way more appreciated.

People register for a reason- those are the items they need or want! My opinion on getting gifts for showers or weddings, etc. is to always buy at least one item off the registry. If you want to purchase something else, it should be in addition to something on the registry. We registered for items we really need and I am getting really anxious to know what we will actually get. One of my sister in laws made the comment she bought stuff before Xmas (before we even registered anywhere) which is great, but at he same time she had no idea what we had already and what we still need.

I returned a few things from my first baby shower, partly because we ended up with 3 I repeat 3 highchairs and multiples of other items on our registry. It happens because most people will buy what they want to buy, it's human nature. Don't feel bad, if you need what you need it's okay. My daughter ended up with 11 boxes( the big diaper boxes) of newborn and 0-3 month clothes. She couldn't wear everything because she outgrew it. A lot of them still have the tags on them and they are sitting in the garage
