Hip pain while sleeping in side?

Question

Anyone else experience this?  I've always slept on my side, but recently I have to switch positions throughout the night because of hip pain.

Anyone have suggestions on what to do?

I had this problem with my last pregnancy about 23 weeks in so I'm pretty sure I might get it again, I know the pain hurts so bad and my bf never seemed to understand. Try sleeping with a pillow underneath your hip more so in the front if it doesn't help try a heating pad make sure to keep it on your hip and not on your belly

I have hip and severe sciatic pain. I had to go to the chiro to get relief.

I went to Walmart and bought the only pregnancy pillow they offer. It's big and bulky, and takes up a lot of space. It's one of those that has velcro and detaches into 3 different pillows (neck, belly, legs). I used the neck and leg one, and wow! What a difference!  I woke up with no pain today! It's called Boppy. Highly recommend.

I have hip pain on the opposite side I sleep. It's horrible

I have hip pain and thigh numbing all the time now. I bought a pregnancy pillow but it's so firm I can't get comfortable. 
I miss sleep.

Get a body pillow and put it between your knees. My Chiropractor told me to keep my hips neutral while I sleep to avoid twisting my spine at all. I had really bad hip and butt pain but it's been getting better since getting the pillow.

With my last pregnancy I had to sleep sitting up pretty much with my hip propped up with pillows and often start with the heating pad on my hip.  It was so painful trying to sleep, I'm sorry you're going through that now :(

I have to have a pillow between my legs to relieve the pain. Also I put a big pillow behind my lower back and hips. You can lean back on it slightly relieving more of the pressure. With my first I had to do physical therapy for my hips. I pulled a hip ligament in high school in dance and because everything relaxes when your pregnant my hips would go very out of alinement. Try some basic stretches before you go to bed and when you wake up. Hope this helps!
