Acne caused by face wash and BC pills

Has anyone else noticed that their face wash is what's causing their acne?? So I've given up on face wash because my acne was so bad and started to wash my face with coconut oil and use that as my moisturizer..my face is so much clearer. It cleared up even more when I went off my pill. I still get some break out during my period but not enough to bother me. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this happen?
