Have you had to cancel a trip due to The Zika Virus?

I'm from Minnesota, and have had a trip to Miami planned for March and a Mexico vacation for April. My husband and I canceled both due to the Zika virus. We are bummed, but nothing is more important than the health of our baby!

Delta is giving refunds for all travel involving Zika. We aren't sure about United yet. And the hotels were all booked with hotel points so yes, that was refunded.

I'm honestly terrified this will spread so much in America. It's so sad and terrible that it's even a thing! My heart goes out to all the expectant moms in the areas where it's actually an epidemic too. 
Let's hope scientists can figure out a vaccine for this!

Can the Zika virus cause microcephaly at anytime during pregnancy? Or just the a early stages of pregnancy?

I cancelled my trip home to Florida because of it. I was supposed to go in May but I decided it's better to be safe. I transferred my ticket to my mom so she's going to come to me instead!

I think you are wise to cancel the trip while you are pregnant or have a young baby! A vacation would be fun, but a healthy baby is ALWAYS more fun :)

My friends husband was throwing this 40th in Mexico and has cancelled it because she's ttc and doesn't wanna take the chances
