Keep the mood while using condoms

Okay so when my boyfriend and I first started seeing each other we never used protection because I am not supposed to be able to have children. I know bad excuse to not be safe. Anyways I ended up getting pregnant and had a miscarriage which was a lot harder on me than I thought it would be since I wasn't ready to have children. Anyways now we are using condoms everytime and it just kind of kills the mood.. How can you keep the mood going when putting on a condom?
