Baby registry?

So I am 26 weeks and going to register in a few weeks at babies r us. I am a ftm what kind of items do I put on there? My parents are buying the crib so they want me to pick a crib. Husbands parents are getting stroller and car seat set. I just don't know how much is too much for everything else? I don't want to seem greedy ?

My registry to some people is a little extreme but it Will be nice after my baby shower to know what I still need to buy. I'm pretty much using it as a shopping list also. For myself and for others who are buying.

I just put whatever I really wanted to have on our registry. Our registry is going to basically function as our shopping list after my baby showers. If you follow BRU's basic outline, you'll have a good clue as to what to put on your registry. By the time you're done there will be items in the low to high price range, so no one will feel obligated to get you something expensive. I think a baby registry is much different than a wedding registry where someone could see a person as greedy.

Put everything on there. After its a great reference tool. Plus you usually get some type of discount

I registered for sooooo much stuff. Partially because I can get the completion discount after the baby shower. And people can make their own choices. Any who, I looked on Pinterest for good lists. I also googled, "things you shouldn't register for baby shower."

I also felt a little guilty, but if you don't put enough on, then you may just get a bunch of clothes and unecessary things. I kept my registry to non-clothes items. 
I already have the crib, glider and bucket car seat, but I even registered for my second stage car seat. 
Here's a list of the the other things I register for:
-Crib sheets 
-Change pad and change pad sheet
-Seat saver (to protect your car from indents from the car seat)
-video monitor
-baby bath tub
-thermometer
-motorized swing
-self bouncing swig
-play mat
-baby carrier
-bathtime soap, shampoo, lotion
-soothers
-bottles
-flannel receiving blankets
-Muslin blankets (they last longer than flannel and are way bigger)
-car seat cover for winter
-teething toy
-humidifier

Put whatever you think you will want (not just need). I think babies r us will give you a 10 or 15% discount on any unfulfilled items after your due date. (You can also 'cheat' by putting a due date that's sooner than when you are due).

I did mine on target and it had premade registries with basics and suggestions for what to put on it. We don't have a babies r us local so I didn't look at their site but maybe they have something similar?

I know what you  mean, I feel a little guilty too, but I guess I have so many baby clothes now I really just need "things". Since I'm having what's becoming 4 separate showers I'm hoping it will save me a lot of stress overall...

We registered at babies r us and they had a print out of 'must haves' and also 'helpful' items to register for. It helped us out tremendously!
