28 week Preemie??

Question

My baby girl is 28 weeks n 2days today she was born feb 7 2016. She has developed a high glucose level of 184 and has lost some weight. Went from 2lbs 6.3oz to 2lbs 1oz i am really sad i get discharged later. Has anyone been thru this and baby turned out ok?? TIA

Update:  shes now 34 + 3 weighs 4lbs 3oz and shes 16.5 in length my little peanut grew.. all she needs to do is take in all her feeds by mouth and that tube will come off and she will be ready to come home...

Update: 32+6 now she started to breast feed and got out of the incubator and into a normal crib.. almost time to take her home just a few oz away. She now weighs 3lbs 6oz

Update: 1 week and 2 days of my little bundle being home from the NICU and each day i love her more. Every morning to wake up and do it all over again makes me fall even harder for her.. words cant explain or even come close to how much love a mother feels for her child..

So it's been a while but I was born at 29 weeks weighing 2.3 pounds... My mom said I stayed in the hospital for around 2 months... But I am now 22 :) your baby will be fine.. They are fighters!!

A friend of mine had her baby at 30(ish) weeks he was 2lb 1oz and now hes doing fine :) hes just turned 4. He has a few problems like asthma but other than that he is a completely normal bouncy boy lol :) good luck xx

My first was 26 and measured 24 weeks 1lb. 6oz... we always had to poke her heel and check her sugar :/ every 4hrs! The lancet isn't deep but after a little while I learned how to comfort her so she wouldn't cry and hurt so much.. babies are incredibly strong!! Even if your stay in the NICU is longer than you hoped.. know they're taking care of your baby.. ask away anything.. be a part of decision making.. your baby will pull through and when you're finally home.. one day you'll forget how long the NICU stay felt! Take it easy.. a day at a time.. care for yourself also!! We're all here for support when you need it!

I know someone that's been through this and their baby was completely fine it took a good few months to get there but hospitals are amazing and work miracles x

My son was a premie although not as early as your baby. I'm not going to lie, it can be a roller coaster especially the first few weeks and being discharged without baby is extremely difficult. I was at the hospital so much after I was released a nurse pulled me aside and told me I needed to slow down or I was going to end up back in the hospital. At my hospital we were allowed a visitor list so other family members could visit without my husband and I being there. It provided peace of mind knowing a family member was there when we couldn't be. Also, talk to other moms, you aren't in this alone there are a lot of mom's going through the same things. Take one day at a time and remember today's set backs are tomorrow's milestones. My little miracle is now 8 and is perfectly healthy and happy. Good luck to you and your baby!

Update..
Today marks the beginning of a Beautiful journey the start of a new chapter. Im so excited and very thankful to God cuz my little girl is finallly coming home. There were alot of ups and downs and times where i thought i couldnt get throught it but i looked at my bby girl and kept pushing forward. It brakes my heart looking back at pictures when she was 1st born a micro preemie weighing in at 2lbs 6oz i thought i was in for the worst i thought the worst of things. Then she slowly but surely started to gain strength which made me get stronger she started to gain weight which made pray harder. There is a God and he is and always will be by our side. Helping us at our best and guiding us through our worsts.. At 5lbs 7oz my little girl is out of the hospital and home where she should be with daddy and i.. words cant explain how excited and joyfull i feel.. GOD IS AMAZING.
