​Marriage isn't about sex.  While sex is a component, it shouldn't be the foundation of your marriage. Sex is representative of your bond, not vice versa.

No its better to have sex with someone before you marry them. What if u married some one who was horrible in bed? U wouldn't buy a car without driving it first :-)

I'm with Leslie, I don't buy used cars either lol.  I think it's sad people say they have to "try people out" before they marry them.  
​I'm sorry, I didn't marry my husband because I thought he was going to be good in bed, I married him because I love him, he's my best friend, he's so sweet and wonderful and caring. He treats me like I'm the most beautiful and perfect lady in the world.

​Waiting until you are married to have sex makes it all the more special. It bonds a couple and brings them closer than ever.  I've never once heard of someone having a bad sex life because they waiting until they were married.  People who use that excuse just want to have a "excuse" to sleep around and I think it's sad.

I didn't wait for marriage, but i also didn't just give it up to anyone... I had a boyfriend for 2 years in high school, we never even kissed. When I was 19, my first college boyfriend and I lost our v-cards together and I'm glad. He was sweet, and though it was a bit awkward,it was very loving and it meant a lot.

I've only slept with 7 people since then and they've all been serious relationships, and one drunken exception- and I'm glad that happened too because I will never repeat that. 
I don't have a problem with anyone's choices (this is all very personal) but I'm personally not into sex casually. To me, it's between two people with a strong connection, and helps make it stronger.

It's not bad per say it's a matter of opinion and choice. I lost my virginity early because I was niave and got talked into it. However though I was with a few ppl before my dh he had also and we both liked sex so much we didn't wait. We also had our daughter before we got married.

I think it's all about personal choice. You should do what you feel is right for you as everyone is different. For me personally I don't believe in "sleeping around". Yes I had sex before marriage, BUT it was to my husband, would also took my virginity, and I took his. We waited until we were ready and it felt right. I would have not slept with him if I didn't believe we would get married and he said the same. Ten years together and we couldn't be happier!

It's such a personal thing, for religious or other reasons. I personally think it helps to gauge your relationship before marrying somebody, but sometimes waiting also makes it that much more exciting and sweeter.
