Help! 6 days old!

She will only nurse on my right side.. I try the other side every feeding but nothing. I've been pumping the left side due to this but I still ended up with what I believe is a blocked milk duct. Very hard on top and very painful to touch.. pumping is not unblocking.. I heard that warm compresses may work as well? Any other solutions? I can't stand the pain! Wish she would just nurse from that side, not sure why she won't.. She's just so uninterested in it!
