Implantation?

I started spotting very lightly a brownish pink color 2 days before my period was due on October 12th. I had my normal period, same amount of bleeding, but not as much cramping. It ended on Friday, but i have still been lightly spotting pink since then... Could this be implantation bleeding of some sort? I normally don't spot before or after my period. It comes and goes but thats it. I have been off of my birth control since June. Should i test? Or should i not get excited at all.... What do you think ladies?
