33 and single - will I ever have a baby?

Hey ladies,

Just discovered Glow community and writing my first post here, seems like the perfect place to have this difficult conversation. ..

I am 33 and single for a year now. After the break up I started to think that I might actually never have a baby :( I know that it's still not too late bit feel discouraged with how difficult it has been for me to find the love of my life and a father for my children. And now I feel like the clock is ticking and I'm all alone.

Please share your stories, opinions on having a baby after 30 or even later! I need to find hope and see that it's still possible...

I am 38.5 and pregnant with our first kiddo. I was worried we had waited to late to get pregnant, and it took about 8 months but we got pregnant on our own. You aren't too old and have time. If a few more years go by and you are single and till wanting kids, discuss options with your doctor but for now I would try to relax, love yourself and ignore the tick of the clock.

It's definitely possible. I was married young and had my oldest at 22 and my next at 23 (a week from 24 lol). That marriage ended in divorce at 26 years old. I had my tubes burnt twice on each side and was for sure I'd never have more children or even want them. I was anti-men at that point.  However, I met my current husband a few days after my 29th birthday. We were engaged within 6 months and married almost a year after we met right before my 30th birthday. He had a daughter and I had a son and daughter. We eventually tossed around the idea of having a baby together but knew it would be costly as I would have to get a tubal reversal. $7000 and a day after our one year anniversary, I had the surgery. Success rates were high because I was under 35, didn't smoke, didn't drink, had no previous pregnancy issues, and I still had 8 cm of tube left on each side even after cutting out the burnt parts and endometriosis. And viola! 4 months later I was pregnant! He's now 8 months and I'm 17 weeks again!

I didn't meet my husband until I was 34. Before then I was starting to feel the pressure of Smart Single Girl Math (i.e., you know it's 9 months of pregnancy + possibly a year or two of trying before that + want to be married to my husband and potential children's father for *at least* a couple years before taking that step + want to be with my partner for *at least* a year before even going for marriage... All adds up to a daunting age for conceiving/going through parenting! But here's what I couldn't have predicted: I knew from the first time we kissed that he was what I'd been waiting/looking for. All of which is to say: it will happen for you. 😘

SAME EXACT SITUATION. And the thoughts in my head on a daily basis. I'll be 34 in April and already been divorced 2 years. Have been single basically ever since except for one wasted relationship for 6 months. I feel your pain trust me!!

I'm 33 & 12w3d preggo. I'll be 34 once I give birth. I had a really hard time, like u, with thinking I'd be single forever & never have a child and here I am! lol. (Still technically single btw). I truly believe things happen when u least expect it, just think positive & try not to dwell on it. It will happen when the time is right 🙂

I was single and 33 living in Florida, my whole life I haven't put pressure on myself to have a baby. I always said if I met the right man I would know and if not, and I remained childless I was ok with that too. So, I was presented with a job opportunity in Texas, so I packed up my car and my dog and drove halfway across the country alone to live in a place where I didn't know a soul! It was very hard and most definitely a spiritual journey. To make a long story short I met a man fell in love, fast forward a year, we decided to try for a baby (I'm now 34) and to my surprise within a couple months I'm pregnant!! I'm currently 11 weeks ☺️ so never give up girl! Have faith, we all have a path to follow in life, just listen to your heart and trust your guides. You never know what lies ahead ❤️
