Gender reveal?

How are you revealing the gender? We were planning something over Thanksgiving (dessert reveal under an apple pie) but my husband's HUGE family is all bent out of shape because of a football game (seriously) and/or planning to see spouses' family. This is not a mandatory event and I'm irritated that people want me to cater to them... While MY family is getting nothing bc they live in another part of the country.

How are you revealing? Big deal, little deal, or no deal?

I'm doing it in December due to the fact my boyfriend is a college basketball player so he's not here for the season. We decided neither of us want to know the gender until the party so I'm having my ob write it in a piece of paper and giving it to my mother so she can request a cake with either blue or pink coloring inside. Can't wait! :)

My aunt had a local doughnut shop make cream filled doughnuts with either blue or pink filling. An informal breakfast I thought was nice because it was early enough to not have to plan your day around a "party"

My brother lives in a different state so here are my ideas for telling him:

A cookie sent to him that says Prince or Princess

Edible Areangements sent to him from his nephew or niece to be

A video text of the ultrasonagrapher telling us baby is a boy or girl

A balloon bouqet (so) of blue or pink balloons.

Screw them and don't let them take your happy! It's your baby and you do what you want to. I told my family with my first one (one they wanted to play bossy roles) "you had your chance having your kids and now it's my turn. So respect what I ask". We will be doing a cake also and inviting a few people and if someone can't make it or doesn't like the time that's on them: that's our special moment

I find out on Nov 10 what we are having. Figured I would buy some ballons and announce it via text message to my family. They all know when I am going to find out. So I cant wait until Thanksgiving. ?

This is what I posted on fb about doing a gender reveal on thanksgiving and my fiancé's uncle wanted to be an ass. Sad thing is more of his relatives liked the smart a** comment. So I'm not revealing shit to them. (That might change but I'm mad right now) 
P.s thanksgiving is normally done at his house (Frank) with his wife and Rickys side of the family all meets there.

I was thinking of doing a gender reveal party as suggested by one of my friends. I want to wait til birth to find out but my husband and son are dying to know now. How about throwing a party? Is ur family too far away to come for that? Can u travel to them and do it there since ur hubby's family isn't as excited about it?
