Herpe simplex is nothing to worry about, it is very common. The virus lays latent in your body and appears as a cold sore when you get stressed. Nothing to worry about, just get some aberiva when this happens and do touch it! Hope that makes you feel better.

It's nothing to be worried about. I have it too and tend to have cold sore break outs when my immune system is weak. It's the same virus as chickenpox which is also very common. It's not treatable either as far as I've been told.

I know somebody that has it.. She's had one outbreak in the 8 years she's had it. She's happily married to a man that also does, and they have 2 boys that don't have it! There are many precautions that you can take, and even medication that can help minimize or even stop outbreaks from happening. Yes it is an std but it's not something that can hinder you life, it's livable.

Do you have type 1 or 2? My boyfriend has type 2 and was very discouraged about it until we started dating. He thought no one would ever want him and he'd never be in love. Then there I was! We try to be very careful and he's on valacyclovir. He can usually tell when an outbreak (once and a great while) is coming and we don't have sex during that time at all. Weve been together for a year and a half and I'm still herpes free. There's is hope for you dear just stay calm and be upfront and honest with everyone. Including yourself!
