Love: guy friend of a year and a half

I've been friends with a guy for about a year and I also lost my virginity to him. Not to recently he started telling me things like he loved me and he missed me and wanted see me things of that nature. Unfortunately he had to move becuz of his mothers job. He is visiting currently for fall break and I noticed that he can only show affection towards me when he's out of state but when he comes home to visit he acts like I'm not important. I pointed it out to him today and he said that I should know he would be like that becuz he wants to spend time with his friends but I also used to be his friend but he won't spend time with me.... Should I maybe reconsider my feelings for him ?
