Miscarriage

In early January I had a miscarriage. Jan 2nd I went to the hospital of bleeding and cramps.  I took a test and I was pregnant. They confirmed it at the hospital. They sent me home and told me in 3 days go back to your obgyn to see if your hcg levels doubled. So Jan 5th i went back in and my levels dropped and they took a test and came back negative. 2 days ago I took a test and it says pregnant. Can that be possible when I hadn't even had a period from the miscarriage? Confused. Please help.
