I recently went to the hospital to check on my baby the nurse said I had a UTI and gave me nitrofurantoin microcrystals to take for 5 days and the UTI will go away .. Is this medicine bad for the baby ? Can it affect the baby in anyway ? I'm really concern bc the doctor never came back to see me and the nurse didn't even know the doctor didn't tell me I had a UTI , although it was the emergency room so I'm sure she had different customers .. Any suggestions ?

Also I've been pooping ever morning and farting is this normal ? And everything I normally love to eat is repulsive to me .. Idk what to eat anymore !!

Call your other doctor about the medication before taking it if you haven't started it yet they will know better they specialize in that but I'm sure the er doctor knows what they are doing too as long as you told them you were pregnant and yes that's normal
