How to survive cluster feeding?

My LO is 10 days and she will literally stay latched for hours and hours if I let her. She's not really actively nursing. More comfort nursing. But of course this usually happens between 1am and on. I'm exhausted. How do I survive this?? She's staying on the boob for 1-3 hours sometimes. She refuses the pacifier during this time too.

I pumped a bottle during the day for my kids and that I would give at night with the cluster feeding so I could get at least a good 2-3 hours of sleep and then I also nursed in bed so I could at least rest while they latched.

1-3 hours is crazy long. I doubt baby is actually feeding that amount of time and more like comfort sucking. Try the pacifier instead and cluster feed only on cue for no longer than 20 minutes

My little man cluster feeds every single night. It was from around 7-9 but now it's like 7-745 and 830-915. He's almost 3 months. When I let him cluster feed, he sleeps better and my supply is better. There were some nights that I just couldn't do it - I was too exhausted mentally and physically so I gave him a bottle of pumped milk. I just had to get to a place where I accepted it and rolled with the punches, knowing that one day I would miss the time I got to cuddle with him all alone every night. Hang in there!

Netflix binge watching during the day and honestly it depends on how you feel about bed sharing but side nursing in bed at night saved my sanity.

When I feel that my daughter is no longer feeding but more so just soothing herself I last her down and if she objects I lay her on my chest and fall asleep that way. She sleeps so much better on my chest. I also make sure there's no way she can fall of or get hurt.

My first was like this!! It drove me crazy and unfortunately I wasn't able to find an alternative either (sorry not much help) she did grow out of it but I think she was about. 3 months

I survived that time by telling and allowing myself to sit on the comfiest part of the couch and let him eat!  All day I watch hgtv and was searching whatever on my phone.  Sounds like you're doing great.  It isn't easy!!!  And make sure to have someone get you food and water!

It's probably her first growth spurt! My LO did the same thing at 11 days! Good thing is it only lasted 2 days!! She's 2 weeks old today and sleeping back to normal for 2-4 hours at a time :)
