Taking more pics?

So I'm not big on getting pictures taken of myself and my bf seems annoyed when u take too many but with us about to be separated in 8 days for 2 1/2 months before I move to be with him. I want lots more. I had quite a few then my phone got messed up and no more pictures (that day was also my birthday and I spent the first hour of it in his arms in the shower crying). How do I take more pictures without being a camera whore about it? I just want something to look at when he's gone and maybe get physical copies to make a scrapbook or something. I took the pic included a month ago when he gave me an early birthday present for a military formal thing, a thin silver chain with a single teardrop pearl on it. So glad this one was on Facebook! :( I don't know what I'm going to do when he's gone
