Finding pediatrician FTM???

I might be completely clueless. I have found what pediatrician I want to take my baby to, do I call and set up an appointment before my baby is here or how does that work? Help me out ladies

I went down and talked to the doctor set up some paperwork (gender name & due date) than all I had to do after that was when I was in the hospital and had to baby I had to tell the hospital what doctor we were going with so they can send everything over.

Call around to your local pediatrician a you schedule a meet and greet and that's how you determine who you want. Definitely find one before baby is here they come to the hospital when baby is born :) mine was on vacation and she came in cause he was born and I love her! That's dedication!

I'm a FTM too. Called the office to see what needed to be done.  They told me just to tell hospital of pediatrician choice and then I would also call right after baby is born to set up first appt.  No preregistration required.

I call the office of the pediatrician I chose to make sure they were accepting new patients first off. Then I asked what I need to do to get my son established as a patient since I still had 10 weeks left. They told me the hospital will ask who my pediatrician is and to just tell them the docs name. They will inform her a new baby was born so she can come see him and I follow up with her office afterwards. I would definitely call the office just to make sure.

Mine doesn't require preregistration. They told me just to call before we leave the hospital to set up first appt they said it's required before you are discharged from hospital but that might be at state to state requirement.

Some time they want to meet the mother before the baby is born .
