Right side cramping

Since even before I found out I was pregnant, I have been having light cramping, mostly on my right side. I will feel it for a little bit, then it will go away for a couple hours and usually I feel it again at night. I assumed at first that this was just the beginning of my period. I have read that some other moms have have light cramping too, but why only on my right side? Is this normal? I'm only 5 weeks along and my first doctors appointment isn't until March 30th. Is this something I should be concerned about?
