Is this mold?

This is the pad that goes inside my baby's wipe warmer. I hadn't noticed it before but it grosses me out and worries me that if it comes in contact with my baby's skin, it could cause a rash or worse.

I'm almost positive it's mold. Depending on the material, you could soak it in vinegar to kill everything. Bleach may ruin it, I'm not sure because I don't know what it's made out of but mold could be definitely very harmful to your baby.

Yes that's mold, that's the bad thing about wipe warmers is the warm wet environment is the perfect condition to grow mold. My advice, chuck the thing. Room temperature wipes aren't terrible and you can hold them in your hands a bit before you wipe if you are very concerned about the cold. You don't want your baby getting sick. My friend had one and she discovered the mold problem as well.

I'd get rid of that! Looks like mold or burn marks from the heat. I definitely don't blame you for worrying about it.
