Soap or no soap?

So, I've seen arguments all over social media speaking of wether it's okay to put soap on your vagina or not. Can someone explain with facts? Thank you, have a good day. x

I wouldn't recommend soap because it can mess with your vagina's natural cleaning method. It will probably make your vagina more yeast-y so you will get a yeast infection. If the balance gets more on the bacteria side, you could get a bacterial infection. Just let your vagina clean itself. The discharge is what helps it keep clean. If you're worried about the smell, sometimes a change in diet can help. Eat more fruits and vegetables (especially water-y ones like broccoli, watermelon, carrots, or peas.) And if you have a "burning sensation" downstairs, you can make yogurt Popsicles. Just get some "no sugar added" yogurt (plain) and freeze it in a tampon shape and just stick it in while wearing a pad. The burning sensation should clear right up.

Soap will throw off your pH balance as the vagina is naturally acidic. I wouldn't use soap unless you use special vaginal wash like Summer's Eve

I recommend no soap now because I heard it can give u cancer. Your suppose to wash your vagina with cold water and that's it. If your on your period then you should use water and soap for the inside ,but if your not on your period just wash your vagina with water and that's it. Just remember your vagina cleans it's self.
