I attended Trump's rally
I've seen on the media, some pretty disturbing content involving the rallies held by Donald Trump. Today, however I got to witness this myself. Me being the curious person I am, decided to attend one of these rallies. ( I plan on attending democratic rallies as well). Among the 3,000 people that attended, only two things stood out to me. These two things were not policies or programs. What stood out most at the rally was Donald Trump and an enthusiastic crowd. Yes, enthusiasm was present but it wasn't the good kind. This enthusiasm was for hate. Words like "build that wall", "ban muslims" and "Make America great again" were screamed. But as I listened I could not really grasp how these went hand in hand. How can you make America great again when you throw out an individual who says simply, "Muslims aren't killers, Mexicans are not rapists."
How can you make America great again, when you accuse a man who dresses differently that he's a terrorist? How are you making American great when you, Donald Trump, stand at the front of the stage and shout "get out", to anyone who even dares to speak out. Honestly the protesters here were more peaceful than the supporters. Mob mentality is at work at these rallies and Donald Trump feeds off the negative energy. So among the cussing and accusations shouted out from the supporters I think to myself this behavior is not what is going to make America great.
