What do you ladies think about this?

Ok my boss and I are romantically involved, on the down low though. Well, I slipped and said something I shouldn't have and he got super angry and thought it was another coworker that usually starts shit. Well when I said it I didn't mean to start shit. I was just explaining a situation to another coworker that happened to bring it up to him. So I walk into work and he's bitching out the coworker that usually starts shit. I'm scared bc this grown man is yelling and I've never seen him so angry. Well Come to find out it's about something I said. So I went talk to him about it because I needed to admit that it was me. Well I admit it to him and he tells me it's totally ok. He's like well so I bitched her out for nothing? So he comes up with this plan to chew us both out and tell her that I admitted to it. But to make it sound like he was mad at me he "fake" chewed me out in front of her. Before he started he said I still love you and think the world of you but just go along with me. So I sat staring into his eyes as he stared into mine and fake chewed me out. I don't want this type of favoritism. I truly care about him and I care about making him upset. Does he "love love" me? Like why is it ok for me to fuck up but not her? Btw we didn't have sex. So it's not bc I'm "screwing" the boss.
