Mother in law problems. Do you have any?

Do you have MIL problems?

If so, I need advice, I'm getting married in March of 2015, and I wanted to know how you keep the peace with your MIL?

My fiance's mother acted like she loved me when she first met me but now things seem different. I can't tell if she is just fake or just doesn't like me anymore.

Mine did the same thing. My fiance has never really had a strong relationship with her one day we all sat down and had a "talk" about the things she had been saying about us planning our wedding. Needless to say it didn't go well and she is not invited to our wedding. I hope your situation doesn't come down to that but sometimes you just have to cut out the negativity from your life to be happy. Best of luck!

I had the same problem. She loved me and then suddenly hated me....my husband and I have been married a year and she just started coming around again.

She was honestly just sad that she was losing her son and that he had a new #1 woman in his life.

Wait her out. Be yourself and be respectful. She should come around! Mine did!

Everything was totally fine with my MIL up until we announced our engagement it feels like.  Then she became overbearing and began over stepping her boundaries completely.  I am trying my hardest to continue being the bigger person; after all, she is 64 and not going to change anytime soon.  I'm also trying to establish some boundaries.  Honestly, I love her but her entire world is her kids and grandkids so she's really intense.  I'm worried how she is going to be once we have kids.

Well i did have a little problem with her in the beginning, i guess because i wasnt what they expected but now she calls me when she hasnt seen us in a few days and she tends to miss me and mentions how she knows her son is happy, it guess it is because there is another woman taking her son.

My MIL is very self centered and dis not do the best job raising her children, but I do love her and talk to her time to time, although she's mad at me right now because I told her she was self centered. Lol. I know my hubs loves me mostest and that's what matters. Lol.
