Yes it's a part of being pregnant it will go away  after the baby

It's the same reason women get a brown line on thier belly, and sometimes brown patches of skin, it's increased melanin (sp?)  It does go away after baby, I noticed with my first that my pink areolas went brown, but after she was born (not sure how long it took lol) they did go back to pink, though the Lina nigra didn't dissappear completely(just faded to a vry subtle line).

Let me just say that my nipples are getting darker too hopefully it goes away after I have my son because I have seen my mothers nipples and hers have not changed after my brother was born so I'm worried mine won't change
