Overthinking sex?

My girlfriend gets me me super hard and ready for sex it's just so amazing but whenever one of us reach for protection (condom) "he goes down". Is it the comdom or is it overthinking? This is not the first time and we both very craving sex. I have no problem without condoms but that's to risky. so I can't figure out how to resolve this issue. I have a feeling it might be the condom as I don't feel as much pleasure and the condom is really tight. Any solutions to this?
